Obama Advisor Speaks Truth About Hillary, Later Regrets It

Obama "doesn't go on television and have crying fits; he isn't discovering his voice at the age of 60" according to retired Air Force General Merrill A. "Tony" McPeak, an advisor to Obama's campaign.

He also said Obama has "real gravitas, not artificially created, focus-grouped, poll-directed, rehearsed gravitas."

True, every word. Yet the Obama campaign disavowed his comments, and McPeak later retracted them.

I am sure Obama can expect reciprocity from Hillary and Bill the next time they are tempted to play the race or gender card.

Interestingly, McPeak was a campaign chairman for Bob Dole's presidential run, and endorsed George W. Bush in 2000. Disaffected by the war, he later threw in with Howard Dean, and now look where he is.

Regretting telling the truth is an interesting concept...
